Greater celandine is also known as tetterwort, nipplewort, and has the botanical name of Chelidonium majus.
Much like Chaparral Tea, Greater Celandine needs to be taken with caution and preferably under the guidance of a qualified herbalist or doctor.
This tea may help to increase bile production, and contains something called chelidonic acid which may protect against Ulcerative Colitis and therefore may be useful against intestinal infammation.
Traditonally also used topically to help fight warts, with modern science revealing this herb contains phytocystatin chelidostatin. Sap from the leaves was applied 2-3 times a day to warts, corns, tinea, herpes, ringworm, and cysts.
