Real decaf black tea, real loose leaf chai! A special blend by popular request that contains everything you would expect from a full bodied chai, such as Black Tea (Decaf), Ginger, Star Anise, Cinnamon, Cardamom Pods.

Pesticide Free Decaffeinated in Germany cO2 method.

Brewing

½ mug boiling water per person to pot, about 140ml.
15g of chai per person.

Low simmer for 5 mins or so, boiling too fast is said to spoil taste.

Normally 140 ml milk is used and added.
Increase heat until can see steam.
Strain and add honey for taste.

Taste Profile

Taste: Rich and smooth with a robust base of decaffeinated black tea layered with ginger heat, sweet cinnamon, aromatic cardamom, and a hint of star anise.

Mouthfeel: It is round and comforting with a moderate warmth on the palate.

Finish: It is long and aromatic with cinnamon and star anise notes and a soft black tea finish.

Liquor colour: Deep amber-brown.

Lovely with: A splash of milk (dairy or plant-based), honey for sweetness, or just for a lighter chai.

YES - reheat gently if pre-brewed; avoid boiling. It can also be drunk chilled as a spiced tea. Refrigerate immediately and consume within 24 hours.

How do I store it, and how long does it keep?
Keep the container in a cool, dry place away from light. Consumed within 18-24 months for maximum freshness & flavour.
