Shipping & Returns
Below are some common questions about shipping at Tea Life
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping with Sendle costs $5.95 Australia-wide for orders under $60. For orders over $60, we have the free shipping option which applies to Sendle only.
Australia Post is at cost regardless of order amount due to this service being more expensive and difficult for us to absorb shipping costs. We also offer express post with Australia Post, also at cost.
Note that if using Po Box or Parcel locker on checkout, the system will lock your order to Australia Post costs.
How long will my order take to arrive?
We dispatch quickly with most orders leaving with 24 hours but some within 48 hours.
On average we see the below shipping times...
NSW 2-3 days
SA 1-3 days
VIC 1-3 days
QLD 2-3 days
WA 1-2 weeks
NT 1-2 weeks
Note that with WA and NT these times will be faster if Australia Post is chosen on checkout.
We also have an express post option with Australia Post, also at cost. All express post orders are sent as priority and packed first.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes we ship internationally regularly, with shipping rates being at cost. We rarely see any lost parcels or problems, but note that if ordering glassware this is at your own risk and can not be replaced due to damage in transit.
Where is my order?
The best way to track your order is to check the tracking link sent by email. You should also be able to find your order history and details within our customer hub by logging in here.
If still no luck, please contact support at hello@tealife.com.au and we'll respond shortly.
The best time to contact us in regards to your order is if the delivery estimate has passed.
What happens if my order is lost, delayed, or damaged?
For lost or damaged orders we'll be able to replace them quickly and easily. Please send photos by email along with the shipping label within the photo.
If an order is delayed and has gone through the investigation process and then deemed lost, we will also replace or refund the order at your discretion.
It is best to await investigation completion before we send a replacement to avoid the risk of both missing and new order arriving at once.
Orders
Below are some of are common questions about orders with Tea Life.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
Yes, this is quite easy for us to do. You can add, remove or change the quantity of teas before we ship. To do this please contact us. After this, we will send an invoice via email to add/edit the items in the order, just follow the link within that email and follow the prompts to have requested changes made.
It's important to do this as soon as possible prior to shipment.
The same as above applies to order cancellations, please contact us asap prior to shipment and we'll be able to provide a full refund.
I made a mistake - can I update my shipping address or contact info?
Yes, please contact us and we will amend your shipping address right away. Please note that the label will be updated but shipping confirmation email will most likely not reflect the change.
We will confirm via email once done though.
I didn’t receive an order confirmation - did my order go through?
By default, you should receive an order confirmation email. Reasons for not receiving this are...
- You may have mistyped your email address on checkout.
- Order confirmation email is in junk mail.
- Order did not go through for various reasons.
- Your email client blocked incoming emails from Tea Life.
If unsure and want to confirm if an order was placed with us, please contact us.
Can I add something to an order I just placed?
Yes this easily done prior to shipment, please contact us with the tea name and sizing. We'll then send you an invoice email to have that added, just follow the prompts within the email.
My order arrived incomplete, wrong, or damaged - what now?
Any mistakes on our end we'll fix up right away. Please send an image to hello@tealife.com.au of any damage or incorrect items.

Below are some common questions about our products
Are your teas organic?
While many of our teas are grown naturally, they are not certified organic due to the high cost and administration involved in certification for small businesses and have dropped certification at the beginning of 2025 in order to maintain our current pricing.
We always prioritise quality and clean sourcing.
How should I brew your herbal teas?
For leaf based herbal teas, steeping in a strainer at 80-100c for 3-4 mins is normally standard.
For root based teas, it can be best to do 100c for 10-20 mins, the longer the better. Steeping overnight is also an option.
For green teas, 2-3 mins at 80c is standard.
For black teas, 2 mins at 80-90c is standard.
Each individual tea will have their own brewing instructions on their product page.
Where are your teas sourced from?
We source our teas both locally in Australia (including native botanicals) and internationally from trusted growers who focus on purity and quality.
Do your teas have any health benefits?
Many herbs in our range have a long history of traditional use for wellness, but we don’t make medical claims. We always recommend consulting your healthcare provider for specific conditions.
Do your teas have caffeine?
Only teas made from the Camellia sinensis plant (like green, black, and oolong) contain caffeine. Herbal teas such as chamomile, lemon balm, or hibiscus are naturally caffeine-free.
The one exception in herbal tea is that Yerba Mate contains caffeine.
