Eyebright (Euphrasia Officinalis) is, as the name implies, beneficial to the eyes for a range of ailments such as cataracts, ophthalmia ( inflammation of the eye), weeping eye, blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelids), conjunctivitis (pink eye), stye, and red bloodshot or strained eyes.

A pretty useful herb for anyone that may occasionally suffer from any of the above, or something good to have on hand just in case.

Another cool benefit of Eyebright tea is that much like Nettle tea, it can help in treating allergies, congestion, mild to moderate coughs, colds, and blocked noses.

Brewing

1 teaspoon dried eyebright herb per cup (250ml).

Serve over boiled water (about 95degC).

Steep for 5-7 minutes.

Strain, and serve warm.

You can steep it shorter for a lighter flavour or else you can steep it longer for a stronger cup.
