Green Tea First Harvest

Tea Description
Click here to read customer feedback for this tea!

First harvest green tea is something special and prized within Japan, named ichibancha (first tea, 一番茶). The first not quite fully grown tea leaves of the year are removed by hand to create a stunning taste that can only be found within that particular timing of the year.

This tea will give off a slightly sweeter taste than you're used to, due to the elevated amino acids and theanine found only in first harvest green tea.
Organically grown and fresh from Australian farmlands.

      Great green tea for blending

This is high quality tea with a subtle flavor. Try mixing equal parts of green tea first harvest, peppermint and lemongrass & ginger. It's delicious.

Hi Wendy, Thank you for your suggestion on loyalty club - I will look into this shortly and see if there's anything we can do. :)

      Above and beyond

Toby is always extremely helpful and will go above and beyond to satisfy your need. I wanted to order the nurture blend tea and unfortunately, it is sold out. When I asked Toby when it will become available again, he told me that his supplier is not able to provide it anymore, however, he has all the ingredient and he could make a blend especially for me. So thoughtful and it is much appreciated. Thank you Toby
By the way, that tea is exceptional as well :-)

Hi Raphael, Thanks for your kind words and great review! I hope the blend was okay in this case. If so, we'll open that up on the shop for everyone again.

      An Unexpected Surprise

I'm not a lover of green tea. I drink it to cut down on sugar and too much coffee, so I was quite surprised that this was a pleasant brew. It was also important to me to know that the tea was grown in hygienic conditions. I worry about overseas products.

Fantastic product the best service & communication ive had in years and I cannot recommend this product and company to highly

Hi David, wow thank you. We always do our best.
        Okay, I’m convinced!

Reading through the reviews of the Cacao Chocolate Husk Tea I thought “well, maybe it’s vaguely chocolatey in taste, but these are the opinions of tea drinkers, not hard core chocolate drinkers such as me”. Still, curiosity saw me ordering the small 40g pack which arrived with other tea varieties I decided to sample. It’s been almost a fortnight since I received the Cacoa Tea and this morning I actually got around to opening the packet. I followed the suggestion about crushing the husks before steeping for 7 minutes and cautiously took a sip... Wow! Everything that other reviewers have posted is true! So here I am, back on the Tealife site, nursing my second cup of Cacao Tea and ordering the 160g packet...

Hi Liz, wow thank you I love this review :) We're reallllly hoping to get the price down this year further. It's always a bit of a pricey tea but we'll do our best.
