Mullein (Verbascum thapsus) is a great herb for clearing up respiratory congestion due to it's ability to expel mucus from the body. One of the best teas to be drinking for almost any respiratory illness, Mullein is known as a 'lung' herb. Also aiding with sleep and with anti-inflammatory properties that may help relieve the symptoms of Hemorrhoids if used topically.

Mullein is great for the following...

  • Respiratory problems
  • Expelling mucus from the body
  1. Add about an eggcup or half a handful to a strainer. Not advised to drink the herb itself so be sure to remove it once strained. Since it's so light, feel free to compress it.
  2. Steep for 3 minutes with the cup covered.
  1. Some people may find skin irritation when coming into direct contact with this herb.
  2. Advised not to drink Mullein whilst breast feeding.

Mullein Tea

A friend told me that Mullein helps to repair your lungs. I ordered some from Tea Life and was really impressed with the prompt service. Not really knowing what Mullein Herb was, I must admit I did enjoy drinking the tea. Will definitely order it again and hopefully it will help do some repair on my lungs.

    NSW can be next day delivery or the day after on average.

    Another lovely mellow tea bloom

    The yellow chrysanthemum bloom is very beautiful sitting on it's bed of green as this bloom opens into a slightly aniseed smelling tea at first, but when fully brewed tastes like a mellow silver needle tea that has a very subtle, fruity, sweet overtone. It's not overpowering or dominating in anyway and is very refreshing.
