Taste Profile

Aroma:
Dry leaves have a milky scent with floral undertones - like sweet cream, osmanthus or fresh butter. Once infused it becomes warm and lightly toasted with notes of steamed milk, orchid and sugarcane.

Higher-grade or mountain variants may also have vegetal and alpine floral highlights in the steam.

Taste:
Naturally sweet with a creamy character, this tea has notes of condensed milk, warm butter and fresh gardenia.

No added dairy - this is a characteristic of the Jinxuan cultivar and traditional processing. Some infusions project a light fruity edge (underripe peach or pear) while others project soft vegetal tones (sweetcorn or sugar snap peas) on later steeps. Flavor remains delicate and never becomes overly complex.

Mouthfeel:
This oolong is silky, round and coated, with soft mouthfeel and smooth transitions across the palate. It is neither thin nor heavy but has a fluffy, almost custard-like body that lends the tea creaminess.

There is virtually no bitterness and it leaves a light mouth-coating sensation without being dry.

Finish:
Aftertaste is clean, mellow with a sweet, buttery residue, and warm floral notes. The creaminess softens to floral-sugar notes as the liquor cools; some drinkers report a light honeydew or vanilla echo. That lingering effect is comfortable, light and pleasant.

Liquor colour:
A clear, pale golden infusion that becomes soft and aromatic over long steeping or higher temperatures. The clarity is achieved through light oxidation and careful rolling of the tea.

Lovely with:
Serve with delicate flavours such as shortbread, white chocolate or lychee. Also good with savory sweet snacks like lightly salted nuts or fruit tarts.

Great as a single herb for meditation or as a mellow afternoon tea. May be used as a creamy base for blending with other floral oolongs or soft fruit tisanes.
