Wattleseed (Acacia victoriae), sometimes also known as Acacia, actually contains rather high levels of protein. This is also a low glycaemic food that releases sugar slowly over time and can therefore be useful to diabetics.
Also contains high concentrations of potassium, calcium, iron and zinc. Some would describe its taste as being a savoury, nutty, wheat-biscuit type flavour.
A healthy and classic tea, native only to Australia!
