Jasmine Green Tea

For many, Jasmine Tea sits among Black, White, and Green tea as one of the all time classics. This tea is harvested in early spring time and stored until the late summer and then scented 3 times. A  Green Tea base, yet containing another layer of fragrance entirely.

Many of our teas here contain Jasmine as it blends so perfectly well with many other flavours. Throughout Asia this tea is commonly used to greet guests.

Brewing
  1. Either a) Bring the water to boil then let it cool for about 5 minutes or b) bring your water to simmering near boil.
  2. About 1 teaspoon of leaves should be used per cup.
  3. Steep for 2-3 minutes. Can be reused two times on average.

Caffeine Content
Jasmine green tea is low in caffeine than coffee but has caffeine and can cause insomnia, nervousness or a fast heart rate in a person who is sensitive.

Caffeine not recommended in excess during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Iron Absorption
Tannins in green tea may prevent non-heme iron absorption from plant sources. It is best not to drink it with iron-rich foods.

Medication Interactions
Some medications containing green tea may interact with it - blood thinners (like warfarin) or beta-blockers. See a healthcare professional if you are on regular medication.

Stomach Sensitivity
Some people feel nauseous or experience digestive issues when drinking green tea on an empty stomach because it is acidic, and contains tannins.

Jasmine green tea is infused with real jasmine blossoms. The buds are blended directly or sprayed onto tea for a floral cup that balances freshness with sweetness.

Is it caffeinated?
Yes - jasmine green tea has moderate caffeine - less than coffee but enough to keep you awake.

Does it contain added flavours or sugar?
No, it smells like real jasmine flowers too. No added sugars or flavourings - just green tea leaves and jasmine buds.

Can it be reheated?
You can reheat jasmine green tea once - avoid boiling it again - to preserve the aroma and delicate flavour. Leftover tea - Refrigerate immediately and drink within 24 hours.

How should it be stored, and how long should it keep?
Store it in an airtight container away from light, moisture & strong odours as the floral scent may fade with age. Taste best between 18-24 months.

How much is shipping?

Couriers Please Shipping is $5.95 for orders under $60 and free for all orders over $60.

Australia Post is always at cost. Orders going to Po Box or Parcel Locker address may be locked in to Australia Post.

What are your transit times?

We dispatch within 24-48 hours (sometimes much faster) and from there we'll see 1-3 days transit to most metro locations within Australia excluding WA and NT which can take a week or so.

We also offer express post which will help speed up the process, at cost with no handling fees. These are always sent as priority and packed first.

Are there any discounts available?

We're quite generous with our loyalty programs, and the best way to take advantage of them is to create an account here. Also if you subscribe to our newsletter you'll gain access to members only discounts, rewards and an initial 10% off first order.

Are your teas certified organic?

Up until recently we were certified organic but due to rising administration costs and the difficulty of maintaining certification we've put this on hold for now. Our suppliers and farms remain the same without any change but just now label things are organic, pesticide free or wildcrafted.

This also allows us to maintain our current pricing without any increases which we feel is more important at this time.
