A more modern infusion of the revered Silver Needle tea (Bai Hao Yin Zhen 白毫银针) that we've named 'Silver Needle Divine Jasmine' that tastes and smells..well.. divine.

This infusion keeps the delicate flavour of Silver Needle, while adding Jasmine which does not overpower and only further enhances. This is the most prized of the white tea family in all of asia, with harvesting only being available in the months of March to April.

There are two main types of Silver Needle White Tea, which are based on their region of origin - Zhenghe and Fujian, with ours being from the latter, A grade, and known to be lighter with less oxidation.

Since this is quite a delicate tea, it's best to get the most out of it so please follow the brewing instructions below!

  1. Add around 1 heaped teaspoon to strainer in 80c water.
  2. Steep for 2-3 minutes with the cup covered.

Taste Profile

Aroma: It is soft and elegant with notes of fresh hay, honey and melon.

Taste: Tastes are subtle, sweet and refreshing - light florals, light fruitiness and a faint nutty undertone.

Mouthfeel: Silky, smooth, light, almost airy.

Finish: It is clean and has honeydew and wildflower notes.

Liquor colour: Pale silver-gold.

So what is Silver Needle Tea?
Silver Needle premium white tea is made only from the unopened buds of the tea plant (Camellia sinensis). One of the most precious Chinese white teas, with delicate flavour and elegant appearance.

Is it caffeinated?
Silver Needle has caffeine, but it has less caffeine than green or black teas.

Are there added flavours or sugars?
But no, it is pure white tea buds with no flavors or sweeteners added.

Does it get reheated?
YES - reheat gently if pre-brewed; avoid boiling. It is also a chilled infusion. Refrigerate immediately and consume within 24 hours.

How do I store it, and how long does it keep?
Seal and store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Peak freshness & aroma should be consumed within 18-24 months.

How much is shipping?

Couriers Please Shipping is $5.95 for orders under $60 and free for all orders over $60.

Australia Post is always at cost. Orders going to Po Box or Parcel Locker address may be locked in to Australia Post.

What are your transit times?

We dispatch within 24-48 hours (sometimes much faster) and from there we'll see 1-3 days transit to most metro locations within Australia excluding WA and NT which can take a week or so.

We also offer express post which will help speed up the process, at cost with no handling fees. These are always sent as priority and packed first.

Are there any discounts available?

We're quite generous with our loyalty programs, and the best way to take advantage of them is to create an account here. Also if you subscribe to our newsletter you'll gain access to members only discounts, rewards and an initial 10% off first order.

Are your teas certified organic?

Up until recently we were certified organic but due to rising administration costs and the difficulty of maintaining certification we've put this on hold for now. Our suppliers and farms remain the same without any change but just now label things are organic, pesticide free or wildcrafted.

This also allows us to maintain our current pricing without any increases which we feel is more important at this time.
