Ginseng has a few different variants, with ours being American Ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus).

This herb is good at maintaining good heath, rather than treating bad health.

Ginseng helps to provide resistance against negative physical, chemical, biological and psychological aspects, but is mostly known for its impact on promoting higher energy levels within the body.

Brewing
  1. Measure out approximately 1 teaspoon of ginseng and place this into a strainer. Bring water to boil.
  2. Pour hot water and allow the tea to steep for three to five minutes.
    Milk is not recommended.
  3. You should be able to reuse this tea up to 2 times per batch.

Taste Profile

Aroma: Earthy and forest-like, with dry wood, pine resin, and a faint peppery lift.

Taste: Robust and grounding; On the palate it is savoury-bitter with notes of liquorice root, green bark and some warming spice.

Mouthfeel: It is medium-bodied and slightly dry with a solid, grounding weight on the palate.

Finish: The taste is clean and persistent with a mild bitterness and a cool rooty aftertaste.

Liquor colour: From deep amber to chestnut brown.

Lovely with: Other adaptogenic roots or woody herbs. Likewise, it goes well with lighter florals in blends.

It is an herbal infusion containing the root of Siberian ginseng, traditionally used in herbal systems as a strengthening, tonic-style infusion.

Is it caffeinated?
Nope - it's a herbal infusion and caffeine-free.

Are there added flavours or sugars?
No: this tea contains no flavours or sweeteners.

Does it get reheated?
Yes, reheat gently if the pre-brewed. avoid boiling. Or enjoy cold. Refrigerate immediately and consume within 24 hours.

How do I store it, and how long does it keep?
Keep cool, dry, and away from light. It should be fine for up to 4 years when stored well, but the best aroma and flavor should be enjoyed earlier.

How much is shipping?

Couriers Please Shipping is $5.95 for orders under $60 and free for all orders over $60.

Australia Post is always at cost. Orders going to Po Box or Parcel Locker address may be locked in to Australia Post.

What are your transit times?

We dispatch within 24-48 hours (sometimes much faster) and from there we'll see 1-3 days transit to most metro locations within Australia excluding WA and NT which can take a week or so.

We also offer express post which will help speed up the process, at cost with no handling fees. These are always sent as priority and packed first.

Are there any discounts available?

We're quite generous with our loyalty programs, and the best way to take advantage of them is to create an account here. Also if you subscribe to our newsletter you'll gain access to members only discounts, rewards and an initial 10% off first order.

Are your teas certified organic?

Up until recently we were certified organic but due to rising administration costs and the difficulty of maintaining certification we've put this on hold for now. Our suppliers and farms remain the same without any change but just now label things are organic, pesticide free or wildcrafted.

This also allows us to maintain our current pricing without any increases which we feel is more important at this time.
