Oolong Benshan Tea

1. Bring water to a near boil of 85C.
2. One teaspoon is recommended per cup.
3. Steeping time can be 1 to 3 minutes, but please experiment to find your preference.
4. You should be able to gain 2-4 infusions, with steeping times increasing by 1 minute for each infusion.

Antioxidant support: Catechins, theasinensins and other polyphenols that protect cells from oxidative stress are provided.

Heart and metabolic support: Moderate oolong intake contributes modestly to healthy cholesterol balance and fat metabolism.

Calm focus: Natural caffeine plus L-theanine might improve alertness and jitteriness compared to coffee.

Digestive comfort: Several people find light oolongs mild after meals and easy on the stomach.

Oral health: Tee polyphenol may reduce oral bacteria & support fresh breath.

Caffeine: Oolong has moderate caffeine (typically 30-50 mg/200 ml).

Sensitive, pregnant or nursing: keep total caffeine under 200 mg/day in pregnancy.

Iron absorption: Tee tannins can inhibit non-haem iron absorption. Drink only with iron-rich meals and/or supplements; Leave an additional 2-3 hours between sessions.

Reflux or sensitive stomach: Symptoms of heartburn can worsen with taking on an empty stomach. Try it with food and avoid very strong infusions.

Kidney stones: tea contains oxalates; If you have a family history of calcioxalate stones, moderate intake and drink plenty of water.

Medication timing: Some medicines may be less absorbed by tea (levothyroxine, some iron or mineral supplements, for example). Take medicines with water and take them out of tea at least 2 hours before taking them.

Allergies: Very rare, but stop if you feel you are sensitive.
