Add around 1 level tablespoon to strainer in hot water.
Steep for 3-4 minutes with the cup covered.

Cautionary Notes

St. John's Wort
It's known to have interaction with many drugs including antidepressants, birth control pills, anticoagulants, as well as immunosuppressants.

Increases the sensitivity to sunlight (photosensitivity).
Not to be used in combination with prescription antidepressants due to serotonin syndrome risk.

Lavender
They are generally well tolerated although large doses can make you drowsy.
Not advised in high dose in pregnancy or breast feeding, as safety data is limited.

Blue Peaflower
Moderate doses are safe, but high doses lower blood sugar-watch out for people with diabetes or taking blood sugar-lowering medications.

Damiana
May affect blood sugars and hormones; Prevent use while pregnant, breastfeeding or taking hormone-related medications.
At high doses it causes insomnia or mild hallucinations in sensitive people.

This is a calming, aromatic blend. The delicate floral sweetness of lavender is at the heart of this infusion, joined by the herbal brightness of St John's Wort, the earthy tones of Damiana and the bright blue of Butterfly Pea Flower. They make a pretty, peaceful brew.

Aroma: Lavender, floral, with light herbal notes.

Taste: A little smooth, slightly sweet, lightly earthy with floral undertones.

Body: Medium, soft, and relaxing

Finish: Clean, lightly floral, comforting.

Colour: From vivid blue to lilac - depending on steeping time and water pH.

Common Questions

What should I use per cup?
1 teaspoon of the blend per cup (250 ml) of hot water.

For how long should I steep it?
Soak for 5-8 minutes at 90degC or longer if you want more colour and flavour.

Reuse it?
You can re-steep this blend for a second, lighter infusion.

Does it get reheated?
No problem, just reheat slightly below boiling (70-80degC). Avoid microwaving to preserve the flowers' natural aroma.

Is it caffeine free?
No. It contains no caffeine.

Are there flavours or sweeteners added?
No lavender, St. John's Wort, blue pea flowers, and Damiana - no flavorings, sugars, or preservatives.

Where do I store it?
Cool, dry storage away from direct sunlight preserves the floral oils and blue pigment of the Butterfly Pea Flower.

Any cautions?
Yes. The following St John's Wort interactions may occur: antidepressants, birth control pills and blood thinners. See a healthcare professional before using if you are on medication, pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Add lemon or honey?
Yes - a squeeze of lemon turns the tea blue to purple because it is naturally pH sensitive and honey lends a soft sweetness to the lavender.

How much is shipping?

Couriers Please Shipping is $5.95 for orders under $60 and free for all orders over $60.

Australia Post is always at cost. Orders going to Po Box or Parcel Locker address may be locked in to Australia Post.

What are your transit times?

We dispatch within 24-48 hours (sometimes much faster) and from there we'll see 1-3 days transit to most metro locations within Australia excluding WA and NT which can take a week or so.

We also offer express post which will help speed up the process, at cost with no handling fees. These are always sent as priority and packed first.

Are there any discounts available?

Are your teas certified organic?

Up until recently we were certified organic but due to rising administration costs and the difficulty of maintaining certification we've put this on hold for now. Our suppliers and farms remain the same without any change but just now label things are organic, pesticide free or wildcrafted.

This also allows us to maintain our current pricing without any increases which we feel is more important at this time.
