Many people commonly look over the great benefits associated with incorporating dandelion tea into your diet. Unfortunately, some potential customers think that a dandelion is just an annoying weed that he or she needs to pull out of their lawn. The reality, however, is that there are fantastic advantages to drinking dandelion tea.
If you struggle with a sensitive digestion system, drinking one or two cups of dandelion tea can help to ease the discomfort of stomach cramps and other digestive issues. There is an anti-inflammatory component of dandelion tea that soothes your stomach.
One of the questions that we receive from our clients regarding this tea is associated with the taste. Dandelion tea is made with a combination of different parts of the dandelion plant. Once these parts are brewed, the result is an earthy yet sweet tea. The best way to make dandelion tea is by simmering two teaspoons of herbs in a saucepan and letting it steep in a covered heated pot of water for about 40 minutes. If you need a faster option, you can bring a pot of water to a boil and steep the tea for roughly two minutes.
- Bring 1 quart of water to boil in a saucepan. Add 2 teaspoons of the Dandelion herbs to the saucepan, cover the pan and lower the heat.
- Simmer the mixture in the covered saucepan for about 1 minute.
- Remove the pan from the heat. Leave the dandelion herbs to steep in the covered pan for 40 minutes.
- Set a strainer over a teapot, and pour the infused liquid into the pot.
Alternatively, bring water to boil and steep 1 teaspoon for 2 minutes.
Dandelion root tea may in some individuals sensitive to this tea cause an upset stomach.
