Common Questions

Slippery Elm Powder Tea What is it?
This is a mild, calming infusion made from the inner bark of the Slippery Elm tree - thick, smooth and mild-flavoured.

Is it caffeinated?
Nope - it's a herbal infusion and caffeine-free.

Are there added flavours or sugars?
No: this tea contains only slippery elm powder. Check the ingredients list for confirmation.

Does it get reheated?
YES - reheat on low heat if the food is pre-mixed. Be careful not to boil as high heat changes its texture. Refrigerate immediately and consume within 24 hours.

Slippery Elm Bark Powder Tea 160g - Large!
I ordered this to use as a gut soothing drink. I just shake it up in a smallish container with a 1/4 or 1/3 cup of water, and let it gel up before drinking. The flavour is subtle and earthy. It feels like it does me good.

Slippery Elm Bark Powder Tea 160g - Large!
I'm a vocalist and rely on this tea to help me ease my throat if it's sore or I am practising. Fair warning, it becomes goopy kind of like chia seeds, so a regular strainer or basket with fine holes won't drain very well. I suggest the tea bags sold by tealife when using this to contain the goopiness or a larger hole strainer. Tea bags are much more pleasant though.

Slippery Elm Bark Powder Tea 160g - Large!
I originally bought this tea off Ebay for my husband who has a lot of issues with Reflux/Heartburn due to a genetic stomach condition. He's tried other Slippery Elm products before from other companies, but he says this one is the best he has ever tried. It allows him to sleep peacefully at night without any pain and seems to prevent any stomach acid causing discomfort. Thank you.

Slippery Elm Bark Powder Tea 160g - Large!
I use this in my berry smoothies as it adds a thicker texture and is good for the digestive and respiratory linings. Its good to find an organic powder at a reasonable price.
